This was one of the first initiatives of Sumanasa Foundation. The objective was to identify children from economically backward families , who are interested in learning Carnatic music or Bharatanatyam, and support them financially. Over the past 4 years we have been supporting 12 students to learn Mridangam, Violin, Vocal and Bharatanatyam, by providing them a monthly stipend, which covers their accommodation, food and their teacher’s fee. We have also supported students who have trained from other music / dance institutes.
