Shalini Muthukumar – Vocal

Shalini Muthukumar has trained in the basics of Carnatic music from Vidwan Shri Kalaichelvan. She continued her training for 10 years from Nadaswara Vidwan Shri Injikudi E.P.Ganesan and for 1 year from vocalist Smt Radha Parthasarathy. She is currently learning Thevarams under Odhuvar Kumaravayalur T. Balachander.

She is also currently taking advanced training from the eminent musician Vidwan Shri T.M. Krishna and learning violin under Shri Kalmady S Poornaprajna.

She has studied B A music from Tamilnadu Government Music College, Chennai.

She is currently pursuing M A music at the Tamilnadu Music and Fine arts University, Chennai and doing a diploma for the title of Thevara Isaikalaimani at Annamalai University, Chidambaram.

She has won many prizes in music competitions and also won the Kalai Ilamani award from Tamilnadu Kalaipanpaatu Turai.

Shalini has more than 3 years of experience as a teacher both in an institution and private classes.

She is working as a music teacher in ‘Kalai Koodam’ run by Sumanasa Foundation.
